Old off white paint over the gilding. Rosette corners. Wood hand planed backboard. Old painted surface with crackle and age to surface. Mirror has loss to silvering as expected. Joints are sturdy.

Antique Rare c1805 Old Sheffield Plate Snuff Box George III Irish Halfpenny Coin Inset. The focal point is the carefully inset Irish copper coin to the lid, almost certainly an 1805 halfpenny. The obverse shows the laureate head of George III, with the surrounding legend GEORGIUS III • D: G • REX still clearly legible.

This is a wonderful antique child’s toy that is scarce as they were played with by children and most were broken long ago. The glass has a fan and lily pattern in flint glass. CONDITION: The overall condition is very good with the expected wear to this toy glass tureen.
