Offered here is a beautifully carved Chinese-style jade pendant featuring a stylized dragon or archaistic zoomorphic design. The piece is carved in openwork form with a curled tail, detailed head, and flowing incised lines throughout the body. The stone displays attractive natural green tones with brown mottling and translucency in areas. It has a smooth polished finish and several small drilled openings that appear to be part of the original design. The carving is currently mounted in a decorative frame with damaged edges, linen matting, making it ready for display with a little work. The frame appears to be modern and can be removed if desired. This was acquired from a storage unit auction and is being sold as found.
