The cane work is good. This chair probably has been refinished at one point in its life. There is a small crack in the back, but it has been repaired. You can see it. The chair is very sturdy. It is capable of being sat in has beautiful wall warm walnut. This chair is exceptional. Has a bow back or curved back. If you will give all the measurements inside and I show a picture of the small crack, but it is not broken now it has been repaired but has been repaired a while back so thank you for your interest.
